Noordhollandse EnergiecoöperatieTeamwork Technology is medeoprichter de Noordhollandse Energiecoöperatie (NHEC). NHEC heeft als doel om regionaal duurzame energie op te wekken en te leveren aan haar leden. Teamwork heeft hieraan bijgedragen via het businessplan en via de uitwerking van de coöperatieve structuur van NHEC.Leaflet NHEC en website van NHEC: www.nhec.nl. Teamwork Technology wil de kennis opgedaan bij de oprichting van NHEC beschikbaar stellen voor andere regio's en gemeenten, voor meer informatie hierover kunt u contact opnemen met Felix van Gemen (felix.van.gemen@teamwork.nl) NHEC wordt in NRC Handelsblad van zaterdag 27 juni op de voorpagina aangehaald in een artikel over regionale energiebedrijven. Tidal Energy - TocardoTidal Energy is one of the knowledge fields of Teamwork Technology. The Tocardo tidal turbine is developed by Teamwork in cooperation with WE engineering, Lommers, Polymarin and W. te Velde. The tidal turbine is tested successful in the exhaust sluice of the afsluitdijk in August and September 2008. In the sluice water velocities of more than 4m/s occur. The turbine can be lowered in the sluice and be tested on its performance. The produced energy is fed into the grid with a voltage converter. The cooperation was granted with a subsidy of the province of Noord-Holland and "Kop en Munt", a regional support fund.The commercial development of the tidal turbine is done by Tocardo BV. In 2009 Tocardo has a new commercial prototype of the tidal turbine in operation in the Afsluitdijk. More information: www.tocardo.com |

Energy PresentationsMiguel Prado (miguel.prado@teamwork.nl) has made two presentations about the energy use in the world and the renewable solutions for this problem. A third presentation related to non-renewable resources will be added soon. These presentations started small but have been growing to a complete study to understand the world, human behavior and what are the options of mankind for a problem that is far from being new but never has been so actual. Studying the subject, many sources are checked, recalculated and put in perspective. At the end of each presentation an extensive list of all references used is included.The presentations are available online, but only for personal use and only in their full context. Commercial use, use at conferences or gatherings or educational use is not allowed without permission of Teamwork or Miguel Prado. All rights are reserved. Archimedes Wave SwingThe Archimedes Wave Swing is a product that transfers energy from ocean waves into electricity in the grid. Teamwork Technology created the product and patented it in 1993 for the first time. Since than it was developed and tested. First in 1:20 and 1:50 scale models. In these models the developed theory was proven and calibrated. This gave investors the thrust that the technology could work at large scale. In 2004 the system was tested 5 km offshore Portugal. The generator was connected to the grid. The system was rated at 2MW (piek power). Since 2004 the product was subject of further development. Since the UK has a large home market the company was moved to Scotland, where the government is very supportive. In 2009 the next device is going to be deployed and tested. This device is considered a pre-commercial device. It can produce power for cost within the Scottish tariff. In the future this cost will be much lower as the technology will further develop. A new company is setup in Scotland , this company will continu the business, as the technology is mature the new company is focused on sales and projectdevelopment. www.awsocean.com |
